MEET ART
I’ve spent my career serving communities across Arizona and California—and for the past seven years, I’ve proudly served the people of Peoria. As Police Chief, I focused on reducing crime and strengthening relationships with the residents, businesses, and schools that make this city so special.
But leading a city goes beyond public safety. It requires fiscal discipline, vision, and the ability to bring people together around a shared purpose. That’s the leadership I’ve practiced throughout my career—from running departments with hundreds of employees to working side by side with elected officials and community groups.
In 2021, I also served as Peoria’s Deputy City Manager, helping guide critical departments like Police, Fire, the City Clerk’s Office, and IT. That experience gave me a broader understanding of how a city functions—from behind the scenes to the frontlines—and how important it is to support the people who keep it running every day.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University. I’m also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the West Point Leadership Program, and I’ve served as an instructor for the California Supervisory Leadership Institute. These experiences have given me the tools to lead with both heart and discipline.
As Mayor, I’ll work to:
Make City Hall more transparent and accessible, so every resident has a voice in the decisions that shape their neighborhood.
Support city employees who go above and beyond—from the library staff who brighten someone’s day to the public works team who fix a streetlight before anyone even notices it’s out.
Champion fiscal responsibility by ensuring every dollar is spent wisely on priorities that matter: public safety, infrastructure, amenities, and growth that benefits everyone.
Finish what’s been promised—like the parks, trails, and facilities Peoria families have been waiting for.
This campaign isn’t just about me. It’s about us—what we love about Peoria and what we can build together. I’m ready to get to work.
